Gian-Marco Petrozzi (Age: 21) Testimonial

(Touring Professional (turned pro handicap +5))

I have been working with Ashley for around 4 years and in that time he has helped me progress from a +2 handicap, to a +5 handicap, representing GB&I and England Men’s on multiple occasions, to then recently turning Professional and playing and making the cut in my first European tour event.

Ashley has helped me to understand and improve my swing mechanics throughout the time we have worked together, this has then enhanced my consistency and ball striking on the course.

After coaching sessions Ashley and I have often gone onto the golf course to implement the work we have done on the range into my game on the course which has been very helpful and is very important to try and do.

Ashley has also always been a person I can chat to at any time for other aspects of the game, whether it be how to spend my practice time, or how to improve the way I think on the golf course. He is also always willing to find the time to give feedback on a swing video I may send to him whilst away at tournaments.

Overall Ashley is a fantastic coach, but an even better person! It is safe to say that I would not have achieved the things I have been able to achieve without him as a member of my team!

Outstanding Achievement: "Congratulations to Trentham's very own Alfie Turner":
(Coached by Daniel Hewitt)

The IMG Academy Junior World Championships is a prestigious tournament with over 1300 of the best junior golfers from over 50 countries worldwide, all trying to win their age category.

Founded in 1968, previous winners include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickleson, and Ernie Els, to name just a few.

Alfie Turner, turned in a dominant display that saw him claim a 6-shot victory in his division after a near faultless display ended with a total of 75. Alfie will head off to San Diego in the summer to aim to bring back the World Title – we wish him every success! After winning the tournament, Alfie said, 'I enjoyed competing in the qualifier and I’m really excited to be going to San Diego, to compete against golfers from all over the world.'"
